GRAEF is looking for talented individuals to join our team and help us continue to grow. We have an opportunity for an Entry Level Structural Engineer who is looking to work in a collaborative team environment, in our Milwaukee Industrial Group. At GRAEF, you will have the opportunity to work with engineers and architects on a wide variety of project types throughout the country, from small to large, and simple to complex. Projects include structural work for utility and energy plants, heavy manufacturing and fabrication, chemical and pharmaceutical, advanced manufacturing and automotive, and food and beverage production facilities. Project scopes range from renovations and additions at existing facilities to new buildings on new sites. This position offers the opportunity to become part of a well-established structural team.

For the right candidate, being a member of the GRAEF Industrial Architecture group will provide opportunities to:



  • Design and detail new buildings and structures.
  • Analysis and renovations of existing buildings and unique structures.
  • Coordinate with project team members across multiple disciplines, attend project meetings, and construction administration including site visits.
  • Use of Revit for construction documentation and coordination with project team members.
  • Assist senior staff with coordinating, directing, and checking the work of technicians or other engineers, and with managing project scope and schedule.


In order to be considered for this position, we are seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus in Structural Engineering, or in Architectural Engineering.
  • Master's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 1 year of professional experience through internships or full-time work in structural design of buildings. Candidates with more experience are encouraged to apply as well.
  • EIT certification a plus.
  • Experience with Revit is a significant plus, as is having experience in various structural engineering software programs, i.e. Visual Analysis, Tekla Suite including Tedds, RISA.
  • The ability to work independently is crucial.
