We are seeking a Structural Engineer who is looking to work in a collaborative team environment, in our growing Madison, WI office. Our Structural Engineer will work in a collaborative team environment on a wide variety of building projects including healthcare, high-education, multi-family, hospitality, commercial and renovation projects. This full-time position has significant growth opportunities for the right candidate.

As a Structural Engineer at GRAEF, enjoy responsibilities that include:



  • Design and detailing of new low to high-rise buildings and structures.
  • Analysis and renovations of existing buildings and structures.
  • Coordinate with project team members across multiple disciplines, attend project meetings, and construction administration including site visits.
  • Use of Revit for construction documentation and coordination with project team members.
  • Assist senior staff with coordinating, directing, and checking the work of technicians or other engineers and with managing project scope and schedule.


We are considering Structural Engineer candidates to join our team who possess the following basic qualifications:



  • Master's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus in Structural Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in structural design of buildings and structures. Candidates with more experience are encouraged to apply.
  • EIT certified. Candidates who have their PE would be welcome to apply.
  • Working knowledge of Revit.
  • Experience in various structural engineering design software.
  • Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work independently and confidently develop solutions to problems.
