Primary Purpose of the Organizational Unit
The Accounting and Finance Department ( ACF) consists of 22 full-time faculty members and offers B.S. degrees in both Accounting and Finance and an M.S. in Accounting. The ACF department has over 550 students and is one of six academic departments of the Bryan School of Business and Economics. The accounting programs have supplemental accreditation from the AACSB. Our students are engaged in many student organizations, including the Spartan Investment Club and Beta Alpha Psi, an honors organization for financial information students and professionals. Our tenure-stream faculty members are active in scholarly research. Our faculty are known for their engagement with students and have received many teaching awards.
The Bryan School of Business and Economics has 4,765 undergraduate and graduate students and more than 130 full- and part-time faculty members housed in six departments and programs. Accredited in both business and accounting by AACSB, the Bryan School is the recipient of many rankings, honors, and accolades, and the faculty are active in research. The Bryan School has two dedicated recording studios and two dedicated HyFlex (studio) classrooms to support its extensive asynchronous online offerings and the growing opportunity for synchronous online offerings. Position Summary
The Department of Accounting and Finance in the Bryan School of Business & Economics at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro ( UNCG) invites applications, expressions of interest, and nominations for one full-time position. The position will commence on August 1, 2026, at the rank of Lecturer (non-tenure-track).

The position will be slated to teach four courses each semester, with instructional responsibilities primarily in the areas of corporate finance and investments (depending on departmental needs and faculty qualifications). The selected candidate must be prepared to teach face-to-face and online courses, as needed by the Department. Teaching online courses is required, and service to the university and to the academic and/or practicing professions is also expected.
The successful candidate will serve as a bridge between the Bryan School and the business community. We expect this person to be instrumental in securing internships and job placements for our students by collaborating with businesses. Prior experience working with the business community to create career opportunities for students is a major asset for this position.
Minimum Qualifications

  • Either a Masters in finance or MBA, or similar degree with a concentration from an appropriately accredited school.
  • Sufficient professional experience. To be professionally qualified for instruction, individual will need to have maintained ongoing professional experience over the last five years (consulting, professional certifications, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications
  • Teaching experience in finance or related fields will be considered positively.
