RK&K has an immediate opportunity for a highly motivated, entry-level Transportation Engineer in our Baltimore, MD office. The responsibilities will include the following: Essential Functions Prepare plans and reports related to a variety of transportation planning and conceptual design efforts in the areas of roadway, transit and rail. Assist the Planning team with the development of transportation alternatives in consideration of design and environmental issues. Prepare superelevation computations, roadway alignments and profiles, typical sections, site plans, cross sections and quantity calculations. Assist our Project Engineers and Managers on a variety of tasks, including preparation of contract plans, specifications and construction cost estimates on transportation projects. Work in a team environment on projects and coordinate with different design disciplines in preparing design documents. Prepare technical design reports on transportation projects and perform feasibility studies. Assist in the organization of public outreach efforts and stakeholder meetings. Perform field investigations to collect data including field measurements, photographs, and sketches. Required Skills and Experience Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering 0 (Zero) - 3 (Three) years of Civil Engineering Experience Experience or willingness to learn Microstation, Geopak/InRoads, OpenRoads, AutoCAD, Civil 3D Preferred Skills and Experience An E.I.T.
