POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the direction of Director, Ambulatory Performance, the Senior Ambulatory Performance Manager is responsible for the performance of ambulatory services against key hospital goals, specifically: volume, access, expenses, and patient experience. Works with the administrative directors and medical directors on key data analysis, project management, and developing and managing cross-cutting initiatives that improve performance. Provides direction and support to practice managers in assessing, planning, implementing and sustaining change and improvement in their respective organizations.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBLITIES & DUTIES:


  • Defines, develops and implements short-term and long-term strategies and plans to meet organizational objectives with direction and support from Ambulatory Operations leadership.Analyzes current operations to identify opportunities for improvement, develops project plans and participates in teams to implement improvements.

  • Runs cross-functional initiatives to ensure key hospital goals and ambulatory departmental goals and objectives (e.g., new patient access, patient experience and engagement, labor productivity, expense management, etc.) are met.

  • Utilizes analytical and Excel skills to distill and interpret complex data sets, and develop dashboards that allow leaders to easily identify trends and inform decision-making.

  • Develops PowerPoint presentations that summarize information and convey updates or recommendations in a cohesive, strategic way.

  • Acts as a project manager for multiple projects in various phases, with participants from departments across the hospital.

  • Works collaboratively with a variety of hospital managers, nurse management personnel, physician leaders, medical staff, professional staff and multi-disciplinary groups to accomplish hospital goals and objectives. Develops and maintains good communication and relationships within service departments. Works with stakeholders from across the organization to develop and implement programmatic business plans, and administrative policies and procedures.

  • Monitors and reports on goals and achievements among the outpatient practice areas and develop processes and methods to meet or exceed goals/benchmarks. Develops standards and protocols for addressing areas with opportunity, including measuring and tracking resolution of action plans in a timely manner.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelors' Degree and 5+ years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES (KSAs):



  • Experience in all phases of the project life cycle.

    Experience managing concurrent projects and working in a matrixed environment with project team members from multiple departments.


  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment; be comfortable with ambiguous ever-changing situations; and participate in continual process improvement.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with all audiences, including senior leaders, in a structured manner

  • Ability to lead project teams in multiple locations, departments and levels of the organization.

  • Strong problem solving, analytical, negotiation and influence skills; ability to break down and solve problems methodically

  • Solid foundational business skills including: analytical, written and verbal communication, facilitating meetings and presenting; being a flexible and adaptable team player; and delivering high quality work within deadlines

  • Strong time management and organization skills. Excellent judgment, with strong analytical and detail-oriented skills, is essential.

  • Proven record of accomplishment managing a team to achieve results.

  • Strong computer skills are essential, especially Excel since the role requires a significant amount of Excel analysis and robust analytical skill set; knowledgeable of the systems used in the practices (high level other Microsoft Office products to include: PowerPoint/ /Word /Teams/Visio/Outlook).


Compensation Range:

$66,000.00- $96,000.00

This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However, our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive, and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer. This includes education, experience, skills, and certifications/licensures as they directly relate to position requirements; as well as business/organizational needs, internal equity, and market-competitiveness.
