Responsible for supervising warehouse, coordination of the catering & ground supplies at the IAH station and the downline stations



  • Manages the warehouse to ensure accurate inventory
  • Manages operation directly with all vendors and coordinates their inventory of Company equipment and supplies
  • Oversees 24 x 7 warehouse and the stores department operation to ensure service quality for all operations
  • Ensures proper inventory is prepped and sent to downline caterers
  • Maintains product manual of supplies
  • Directs and reviews all audits and activities of the warehouse
  • Provides direction to procurement with parts replenishment and allocation recommendations based on operational needs
  • Procures specialty catering items and supplies
  • Provides assistance to the maintenance department with unserviceable parts review and disposition. Makes recommendations on scrap/repair decisions and ensures condemned parts are mutilated in accordance with company policy
  • Responsible for coordinating the weekly physical inventory of all supplies
  • Researches and reconciles all variances resulting from physical inventory in a timely manner
  • Coordinates all inventory transactions, withdrawals and transfers and maintains all warehouses to ensure accurate inventory counts at all times
  • Assists warehouse with equipment identifying, staging, packing and inspecting
  • Identifies inoperative or dirty equipment (carts, carriers, oven inserts, and glides). Coordinates replacement or cleaning of identified equipment
  • Communicates any inventory or planning deficiencies; tracks and monitors performance
  • Prepares and confirms catering orders, revising meal orders and responding to crisis situations in order to mitigate catering delays, flight cancellations and other irregularities
  • Confirms proper equipment inventory for departures and arrivals at IAH station
  • Reviews catering invoices for accuracy and relays discrepancies to Catering Manager
  • Maintains and supports the catering/commissary inventory to the outstations
  • Develops and implements staffing schedules
  • Reviews and resolves inventory and local customs discrepancies/inquiries in a timely manner
  • Reviews, develops and implements processes to ensure efficient material handling, inventory accuracy and ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and regulatory requirements
  • Maintains proper supplies and equipment for the safe packaging and transport of equipment and business class items
  • Ensures that staff are properly trained and qualified to accomplish job related functions
  • Ensures that safe workplace conditions are maintained In accordance with all local, federal and regulatory requirements
  • Attends daily operations meetings
  • Works on additional projects and initiatives as defined by the Director of Catering and other Ground Operations management


Qualifications:



  • BS/BA preferred
  • Five (5) years of increasingly responsible experience in requisitioning, receiving, storing, moving, issuing and shipping aircraft materials, supplies or equipment, including two (2) year of warehousing diverse goods in a complex operational environment or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Ability to take initiative on a given task and persist with the task to its completion.
  • Able to identify problems and their sources. While not necessarily accountable for the solutions, the individual must be able to identify potential resources to help in the decision making process for a particular problem.
  • Considerable knowledge of: store keeping and inventory control practices for a wide variety of supplies, computerized inventory records management procedures.
  • Ability to manage one's own time to ensure that the work that needs to be accomplished in a given time frame is in fact accomplished.
  • Ability to prioritize the work provided by others in terms of importance is imperative to this position.
  • Ability to receive direct or indirect instruction and act upon such instruction to accomplish a given task. In the event of unclear instruction, must have the ability to clearly ask for further information at their own discretion to gain clarity around tasks.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; must be comfortable engaging in a variety of different communicative modes (verbal, non-verbal, and written).
  • Ability to actively listen.
  • Ability to process information from a variety of sources and to articulate information in a meaningful way to one's co-workers or supervisors is critical to this position.
  • Must have a strong understanding of clerical and administrative principles, procedures and systems to complete one's work with the best available resources, strategies and plan.
  • Frequent: lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling of moderately heavy weight objects (up to 70 pounds); controlling or driving materials handling equipment in a congested warehouse environment.
  • Subject to call back, standby, and working flexible hours, weekends, holidays and extended hours.


  • Operate forklifts to move materials in the warehouses
  • Must have a strong command of English language including grammar, style and punctuation for any written correspondence or communication.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • When necessary, the ability to understand and communicate within a technical or specialized subject-matter, particularly as it pertains to aviation and the aviation industry.
  • Must be able to pass ten year background check and obtain and maintain airport Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge
  • Good knowledge of: basic accounting concepts.
  • Knowledge of supervisory or work leader techniques.
  • Ability to travel as required supporting operational needs.

Competitive compensation will be offered based on a variety of factors, including a candidate's experience, skills, education, geographic location, internal equity and other factors. In addition, a range of benefits to include medical, dental and vision insurance, employee assistance program, as well as generous paid time off, and 401K contributions are offered as a part of the total compensation package.

$75,500 $101,500 USD
