Machine Operator III - Night Shift ($27.65/hr.) + $1.00/hr. shift differential

Who we are looking for:

We are currently searching for and willing to train a Machine Operator to be based out of Milford, UT. Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, the Machine Operator will set up and operate an extrusion machine by established procedures, guidelines, and customer requirements while working in a safe and efficient manner. Training will be provided.

What you'll do:

* Able to train employees on the technical extrusion process.
* Measure dimensions of products to verify conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as tape
measures, calipers, gauges, and micrometers.
* Adjust controls to meet specified measurements and diameters.
* Ownership of the Quality Control process.
* Understand compounds and melt process.
* Verified and signed the Hour-by-hour boards ensuring they were accurately completed.
* Proficient in adjustments and troubleshooting specific types of equipment (i.e. Puller, saw, beller, chamfer, conveyor,
etc.)
* Lead in the power outage recovery process assisting in leading the team.
* Support sizes die and adjustment.
* Perform minor tooling changes (i.e. pins & bushing)
* Responsible for following the Standards of Production, including minimizing the scrap and line's rate

What you'll bring:

* Must be a Team player and lead by example in LSR and safety.
* Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and manage deadlines accordingly.
* Exceptional attention to detail and a standard level of accuracy & organization.
* JDE, document inventory, part numbers (product description and application of products)
* Must be certified and able to drive a Forklift.
* Proficient computer knowledge including Excel, Math, and RF devices.
* Ownership in 5s' responsibilities
* Proficient in most aspects related to the inkjet pipe printer.
* Understanding GEMBA and KPI board
* Understand extruder equipment performance and identify the technical problems

* Able to read and use Tape measures, calipers, micrometers, and basic math knowledge.
* On Job Training for Operators I and II

Within 3 months, you'll:



  • Complete any required training.
  • Have developed relationships with the key stakeholders for this role.
  • Be well-versed in Atkore's Business System and the importance of your role to daily operations.

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay for this position is $27.65/hr. Placement in the range depends on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs and may change over time. Other compensation may include, but not limited to, overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, commissions, stock, and other incentives.
