Ocean Spray is hiring for a(n) Purchasing & Maintenance Storeroom Lead! We're a team of farmers, thinkers, creators, and doers. The Purchasing & Maintenance Storeroom Lead has responsibility for plant purchasing operations and all aspects of the Maintenance Storeroom. This role directs the work of maintenance storekeepers and is accountable for optimized parts inventory, effective kitting, and accurate min-max systems. The position owns the plant purchasing process for both expense and capital items, ensuring supply availability, vendor partnership effectiveness, purchasing compliance, and continuous improvement in cost efficiency.

A Day in the Life...

  • Provides full oversight of the Maintenance Storeroom, ensuring accuracy, organization, and compliance with inventory controls.
  • Plans and directs work of Maintenance Storekeepers.
  • Manages parts inventory including establishing, reviewing, and optimizing min/max levels.
  • Coordinates and/or prepares parts kitting to support maintenance work orders.
  • Drives continuous improvement in storeroom processes, inventory accuracy, part availability, and service to the Maintenance team.
  • Ensures proper utilization of Maximo for work orders, parts issuance, and storeroom transactions.
  • Responsible for the overall purchasing process at the plant for both expense and capital items.
  • Creates and processes expense purchase orders using Maximo and Ivalua.
  • Creates and processes capital purchase orders using Ivalua.
  • Serves as the plant's Maximo expert; trains plant personnel in proper system use.
  • Monitors and enforces plant and corporate purchasing policies.
  • Prepares Monthly Capital Expenditure Reports and Place-in-Service requests.
  • Provides utility tracking and analysis and develops the annual utility budget.

What We Are Looking For:

Required

  • 3-5 years of plant-related or manufacturing experience
  • Knowledge of SAP.
  • Exposure to Maximo or related systems.
  • Proficiency with MS Office.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Self-directed and organized.
  • Influential with strong stakeholder engagement skills.

Preferred

  • 3-5 yrs of purchasing experience, including procuring manufacturing equipment.
  • Experience with storeroom operations and/or maintenance inventory management preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift low to medium weight (10-30 lbs) materials on a regular basis and heavy (40-50 lbs) materials on an occasional basis.
  • Requires the ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to climb ladders and traverse catwalks.
  • Assume awkward positions in the course of working include but not limited to reaching overhead, twisting, bending over, and/or working from a laying position.

Associates Degree (Required)
