motivated Shipping and Assembly Associate to join our team in Warren, RI.

The Shipping & Assembly Associate will be focused on Kitting and Assembly. This role is responsible for collecting product from several stock locations and staging product per the work order for inspection, as well as the final assembly of the product, laser marking, and product testing. This position also supports several areas of manufacturing, including but not limited to: inventory management and shipping. This is an onsite position in Warren, RI.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for a broad range of daily Assembly and Shipping functions to include:
- Read and understand product drawings, work order instructions, product traceability and process instructions to understand customer specifications for assembly and testing of components
- Responsible to follow all process instructions per training and instruction by Manager and/or Department Lead
- Verifying components for count, quantity and revision
- Pick/pull finished product from several stock locations and stage product for quality inspection
- Sets up and operates the laser mark machine, following the part marking instructions. Understands product drawings and its relationship to laser marking the product.
- Assembles quality components manually that meet customer specifications and deadlines
- Completes carbons soak operation
- Performs product testing, such as pressure or vacuum. Submits test report to quality inspection
- Clean, label, and package components per product specifications and work order instructions
- Seals products using various heat-sealing machines
- Performs final packaging of all outgoing customer orders in accordance with customer specifications and instructions
- Ensures own production conforms to requirements of quality and the production schedule
- Follows approved procedures to complete all tasks.
- Maintains work area in a clean, repaired and organized manner before, during, and after each scheduled shift in accordance with 5S principles, company procedures, rules, and regulations
- Notifies manager and other personnel of problems and assists in identifying and correcting these problems.
- Perform basic visual quality inspections on products
- Ability to work additional time as business needs dictate
- Responsible for a broad range of daily Shipping functions to include:
- Prepares in-process product to be shipped for an outside service
- Performs final packaging of all outgoing customer orders in accordance with customer specifications and instructions
- Demonstrate an ongoing commitment to meeting our customer requirements and on time delivery.
- Verifies customer shipping information and ships product in accordance with customer specifications
- Responsible
for storing and handling all Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI)
appropriately to prevent unauthorized access, dissemination, or use of
this information or documentation.
- Support
all visitor and security policies to protect ITAR/EAR/CMMC/CUI
information, documents, product, etc. from unauthorized access by
informing management immediately of any concerns.
- Responsible
for the proper handling and management of hazardous waste generated in
employee's work area.
- Performs
other duties/tasks as assigned.
- Regular and acceptable attendance is an essential function of this job.
Required Experience/Education/Training/Certifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- One year of continuous shipping experience of
manufactured goods.
- Prior experience with an ERP system is required.
- Prior experience with both domestic and international
shipping methods is preferred.
- Prior manufacturing experience is a plus.

- Must be able to lift/carry from 21 to 50 lbs. occasionally.
- Must be able to push/pull up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
- Visual Acuity - Able to see close detail and colors constantly.
- May come into contact with chemicals constantly.
Work Environment
and Safety Equipment Required:
- Manufacturing Shop atmosphere with open floor space, can be noisy at times, and is climate controlled.
- Able to work onsite per business needs and per employee's standard hours.
- Able to wear required Personal Protective Equipment constantly.
ITAR/EAR Compliance:
This position requires access to export-controlled information and/or hardware,
and candidates must be U.S. Persons that comply with all U.S. Export control
laws and regulation. As such, U.S. citizenship, U.S. lawful permanent resident
status, protected person status under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or the ability to
meet ITAR and EAR requirements is required.
