Fire Protection Design Engineer

Engineer responsible for Fire Protection Design. Below job requirements/preferred requirements relate to job tasks required for this position.

Minimum Job Requirements:
* Five or more years of progressive and relevant experience in Fire Sprinkler System Design.
* Experience implementing programs and procedures to ensure employee and facility safety is in accordance with all OSHA, NFPA and Life Safety Code requirements.
* Ability to plan, self-perform tasks and multi-task on multiple projects.
* The position requires the ability to present information clearly and effectively through the oral and written word and utilize automated workflow systems.
* Must be able to coordinate verification and validation of documents with technical and operations personnel prior to release for approval and implementation.
* Ability to develop and maintain historical information.
* Ability to prepare, interpret, maintain, and incorporate requirements of technical drawings and operating documents.
* Ability to follow procedures and work within a rigorous work process.

Preferred Job Requirements:
* A Professional Engineering License (PE).
* Proficiency using hydraulic calculation software (HASS, etc).
* DOE work experience.
