Plastics Extrusion Operator Trainee

We are looking for a Plastics Extrusion Operator Trainee to join our Montgomery, AL plant. As a Quality Control Tech with Contech you will contribute to America's essential infrastructure including drainage systems, pipe, bridges and structures, and stormwater management.

About the Role

Responsibilities:

• Receives instructions from the Extrusion Operator.
• Understands equipment and can continue production in absence of the operator.
• Helps train the take-off man and Packagers.
• Starts up all lines.
• Restarts equipment after a power failure.
• Adjust dies and corrugator as necessary to manufacture pipe within specifications.
• Performs in-process quality control tests to ensure pipe and fittings are within specifications.
• Monitors equipment and performs minor maintenance as well as assists maintenance personnel when necessary.
• Continually train with the Extrusion Operator and assist as necessary.
• Operate all extrusion and molding production equipment in automatic and manual modes.
• Maintains work area and equipment in clean, orderly conditions.
• Other duties assigned.
