Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

The Borescope Operator is responsible for performing precision internal inspections of aerospace components using advanced borescope equipment. This role ensures compliance with strict aerospace quality standards by identifying internal defects, verifying manufacturing integrity, and supporting overall product safety and performance.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct detailed borescope inspections of airfoils and related aerospace components, including internal cooling passages and complex geometries
  • Identify and evaluate defects such as cracks, blockages, foreign object debris (FOD), porosity, and coating irregularities
  • Capture high-resolution images and videos to document inspection findings
  • Interpret inspection results in accordance with aerospace standards and engineering specifications
  • Accurately complete inspection reports and maintain traceable documentation for quality audits
  • Collaborate with quality, engineering, and production teams to address non-conformances
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable aerospace standards (e.g., AS9100, NADCAP, customer-specific requirements)
  • Maintain, calibrate, and properly handle borescope equipment and inspection tools
  • Follow strict safety, cleanliness, and FOD control procedures
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to inspection processes and quality assurance
  • Any other duties as assigned by Supervisor

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Exceptional attention to detail and visual inspection accuracy
  • Meet color perception standards needed in performance of job requirements (when required).
  • 1-3 years of experience in aerospace inspection, manufacturing, or quality control preferred
  • Familiarity with airfoil components, turbine blades, or similar precision parts is a strong plus
  • Understanding of aerospace quality systems such as AS9100 and NADCAP preferred
