Title: Global Health and Safety Associate Director
Location: Houston, TX

Salary: $152,000 - $225,000
Schedule: Hybrid schedule available of up to 2 days remote per week
Relocation Available

Focus: In your role as a Global Health and Safety Associate Director, you will develop and implement the occupational health and safety standards, policies, tools, and programs to meet global regulatory requirements and improve culture at Olin as we Drive to Zero incidents. This role is also accountable for analyzing and responding to leading and lagging indicators, as well as frequent on-site leadership to ensure EH&S programs are robust.

Global Health and Safety Associate Director Essential Responsibilities:

  • Own strategic refinement and implementation of Olin Chemical's H&S Management Systems which includes Standards/Policies, supporting documents, and training content
  • Partner with Manufacturing to develop, improve upon, and implement strategic H&S visions, systems and programs that grow Olin's EH&S culture, employee engagement, and ensure the health, wellness, and safety of all. (Dynamic Risk Assessment, Behavior-based safety, Culture assessments, etc.)
  • Provide site H&S support (regulatory and company standard interpretations, urgent/critical needs, Turnarounds, Root cause analyses, injury prevention solutions, policy implementations, corporate audits, H&S coaching and mentoring, etc.)
  • Maintain global regulatory compliance, track regulatory changes and their impact on organization, and lead development of implementation plans
  • Lead and/or participate on steering teams and improvement project groups
  • Utilize trending and analysis of leading and lagging indicators that involve large/complex data for driving H&S risk and injury reduction. Collaborate with facilities on assessing data and action plan development.

Global Health and Safety Associate Director Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree* in Engineering, Occupational Health/Safety or related discipline; Master's Degree in Occupational Safety* preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive Health and Safety experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 5+ years of experience in a regional or global support role
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory compliance including OSHA, NIOSH, ANSI, and related federal and state regulations
  • Professional certifications (CSP or CIH) preferred
  • Prior Olin experience in a relevant position preferred
  • Must be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) and possess a valid US Driver's license
  • Must be willing and able to travel up to 40%. Must be able to travel internationally.

*Degree must be from a school that is accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by the Secretary of Education of the U.S. Department of Education or equivalent program from an international university.
