Welder

Job Summary

The Welder performs welding on galvanized steel and aluminum to fabricate custom and standard products, including roof curbs and drop boxes, based on blueprints. This role ensures high-quality production through visual inspections and adherence to safety standards. The position requires strong collaboration with engineers and fabricators, effective communication of product issues, and the ability to work independently in a team-oriented environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Weld galvanized steel and aluminum to fabricate custom and standard products.
• Interpret and work from blueprints to ensure accurate production.
• Conduct visual inspections to maintain product quality.
• Operate and maintain welding machines and related equipment.
• Follow safe welding practices and comply with all safety regulations.
• Communicate product issues to management promptly.
• Collaborate with engineers and fabricators to optimize production processes.

Job Requirements

• Minimum of one year of prior welding experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent; welding certification preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately.
• Proficiency with welding machines and equipment maintenance.
• Strong understanding of safe welding practices.
• Physical ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Self-motivated and able to work efficiently in a team environment.

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Welding certification preferred.

Work Experience

• At least one year of welding experience.
