THE ROLE: Senior Manager, Financial Solutions

The Sr. Manager, Finance Solutions serves as the technology leader supporting A+E's Finance & Accounting organization. This role partners closely with business stakeholders to deliver reliable, scalable, and efficient technology solutions across the finance application ecosystem, including both in-house and third-party platforms. The Sr. Manager is responsible for the support, enhancement, and evolution of Finance systems while identifying opportunities to simplify processes, strengthen controls, and improve productivity through automation, integration, and AI-enabled capabilities. This role also leads cross-functional initiatives across business teams, internal technology teams, and external vendors to deliver measurable business value and an excellent user experience.

MORE OF WHAT YOU'LL DO: Senior Manager, Financial Solutions

Finance Technology & Business Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary technology partner for the Finance & Accounting organization, building strong relationships with business leadership and key stakeholders.

  • Develop a deep understanding of Finance priorities, operating challenges, and end-to-end business processes to shape an actionable technology roadmap.

  • Partner with Finance leaders to prioritize initiatives, enhancements, support needs, and process improvement opportunities across the Finance solutions portfolio.

  • Evaluate solution options and recommend scalable, supportable approaches that align with business goals, enterprise architecture, security standards, and internal control requirements.

  • Communicate complex business and technology concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership.

Solution Delivery, Business Analysis & Functional Leadership

  • Lead discovery, requirements gathering, process analysis, functional design, and implementation planning for Finance technology initiatives across in-house and third-party applications.

  • Translate business requirements, workflows, and control needs into clear, complete, and actionable functional and technical requirements.

  • Facilitate design discussions, assess alternatives, and guide solution decisions that balance user needs, system capabilities, supportability, and long-term scalability.

  • Ensure business and technical requirements are aligned, documented, reviewed, and approved by appropriate stakeholders.

  • Partner with development teams, QA, vendors, and business users to support testing, release planning, deployment, training, and adoption of new solutions and enhancements.

Application Portfolio Support & Continuous Improvement

  • Manage vendors and consultants in providing application support and enhancements to the current systems (SAP, Jaggaer, Serrala, Concur, etc ...)

  • Oversee the operational health, stability, and ongoing support of Finance applications and integrations, including ERP, planning, procurement, and related platforms.

  • Work closely with internal teams and external vendors to manage incidents, troubleshoot issues, determine root causes, and drive timely resolution.

  • Ensure recurring defects and production issues are analyzed and addressed through durable corrective actions, process improvements, and better monitoring.

  • Establish and maintain effective support processes, documentation, escalation paths, and service expectations across the Finance technology landscape.

  • Balance immediate support demands with long-term platform stability, maintainability, and modernization objectives.

Automation, AI & Process Optimization

  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve Finance & Accounting processes through workflow automation, system integration, analytics, and AI-enabled tools.

  • Partner with business stakeholders to assess manual, repetitive, and control-intensive processes and convert them into scalable technology solutions.

  • Evaluate emerging software capabilities and AI use cases that can improve productivity, reduce cycle times, enhance reporting, strengthen data quality, and improve the user experience.

  • Lead or support pilots, proofs of concept, and implementation efforts for automation and AI-enabled solutions, ensuring alignment with governance, compliance, and risk management expectations.

  • Define and track success metrics for efficiency gains, adoption, control improvements, and business impact.

Vendor & Partner Management

  • Manage external vendors, consultants, and managed service providers supporting Finance applications and integrations.

  • Oversee vendor performance for support, enhancement delivery, issue resolution, and project execution.

  • Ensure clear accountability, effective collaboration, and consistent delivery processes across internal teams and external partners.

  • Support effort estimation, budget planning, forecasting, and resource coordination for both operational support and project work.

Project Management

  • Ability to work with oversight from a VP-level manager to plan high level implementation strategies, to judge difficulty level, to estimate budget and to predict expected completion times for specific tasks

  • Lead complex cross-functional projects and initiatives from planning through execution and stabilization.

  • Manage scope, timelines, dependencies, risks, issues, budgets, and stakeholder communications to support successful delivery.

  • Alerts manager to potential risks and issues of importance.

  • Anticipate delivery challenges and proactively develop mitigation plans to maintain momentum and business confidence.

  • Support portfolio planning, resource forecasting, and prioritization across both strategic initiatives and ongoing support work.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS: Senior Manager, Financial Solutions

  • 8+ years of experience delivering enterprise technology solutions, business systems, application support, or related IT capabilities.

  • 3+ years of experience supporting Finance and Accounting business processes and systems.

  • Strong knowledge of Finance business concepts and processes, including month-end close, budgeting and planning, general ledger, treasury, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.

  • Strong experience with SAP or comparable ERP platforms; experience with SAP S/4HANA in a global organization preferred.

  • Strong experience with planning and budgeting solutions such as SAP BPC, SAP Analytics Cloud, or similar platforms.

  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional initiatives involving business stakeholders, technical teams, and third-party vendors.

  • Experience identifying and implementing opportunities for automation, integration, process optimization, or AI-enabled productivity improvements.

  • Strong analytical, communication, facilitation, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong understanding of project management principles and experience managing multiple workstreams simultaneously.

  • Demonstrated business acumen and ability to apply technology solutions to solve business problems.

  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and communicate effectively at all levels.

  • High degree of ownership, accountability, integrity, and sound judgment.

  • Ability to evaluate technology platforms, challenge assumptions, and make well-reasoned recommendations.

  • Demonstrated ability to mentor others, build strong partnerships, and lead through collaboration and influence.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience is preferred.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

  • Experience supporting a complex Finance technology environment with a mix of SaaS, packaged applications, integrations, and internally developed tools.

  • Experience working in a media, entertainment, or similarly complex corporate environment.

  • Familiarity with process mining, workflow automation, reporting/analytics tools, or enterprise AI use cases relevant to Finance operations.

Compensation Annual Pay Range: $148,718 - $174,000 Annual Incentive Target: 15.00%
