JOB TITLE: Senior Software Engineer SHIFT: 1^st (M-F 8a-4p) \| TYPE: Onsite SEE WHAT WE DO: https://youtu.be/kvuAbB4969E?si=MCg_01gD0C0BCG6- QUICK SUMMARY We're hiring a hands-on Senior Software Engineer to own and evolve Prototek's Instant Quote (IQ) platform-the system that powers quoting, ordering, and shipping across the business. This is a high-impact role where you'll work directly with stakeholders across estimating, marketing, and operations to build real-world solutions that drive revenue and efficiency. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Own end-to-end development of the IQ platform (Laravel + Inertia.js/React) Build and optimize backend services, frontend experiences, and database performance Partner with business teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions Improve system performance, reliability, and user experience Design and implement workflows across quoting, ordering, and fulfillment Contribute to testing, debugging, and continuous system enhancements Support integrations with adjacent systems (CAD, AI/ML models, etc.) REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field 2+ years of software development experience Experience with Laravel (or similar backend frameworks) Experience with React or modern frontend frameworks Strong understanding of full-stack development and system design Ability to work cross-functionally with non-technical stakeholders WHAT PROTOTEK OFFERS: Health, dental, vision, life and short-term disability insurance Company paid life and long-term disability insurance 9 paid Holidays annually Employee Assistance Program (EAP) 401(k) match: 100% of 3% and 50% for 4% and 5% Education reimbursement program Career advancement opportunities Flexible Schedule Competitive pay scale Paid time off (PTO) starting at 80 hours with annual increase for each year of service WORK AUTHORIZATION WORDING Must meet ITAR U.S. Person requirements - Prototek maintains International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) compliant operations in United States based facilities.
