About the role

The Facility Manager is a critical leadership role responsible for the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of a Reworld facility. Reporting to the Regional Operations Leader, this position has full site accountability for Safety, Environmental Compliance, Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Projects, Procurement, Continuous Improvement, and Financial Performance. This role provides strategic and handson leadership through all phases of the facility lifecycle, including construction, commissioning, startup, and ongoing operations, while ensuring alignment with Reworld's values, operating standards, and performance objectives.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide visible, active leadership in safety, process safety, and environmental stewardship across the facility.
  • Ensure full compliance with all federal, state, and local safety and environmental regulations, permits, and Reworld policies.
  • Lead emergency response, crisis management, and recovery to stable operations.
  • Lead safety and environmental programs, audits, KPI tracking, incident investigations, and root cause analyses.
  • Maintain accountability for Management of Change (MOC) and Facility Change Notification (FCN) processes.
  • Provide endtoend leadership of all facility operations and maintenance activities.
  • Ensure safe and compliant waste receipt, handling, and processing for all incoming waste streams (MSW, profile waste, etc.).
  • Oversee boiler and steam generation systems and turbinegenerator operations.
  • Direct ash handling, metals recovery (ferrous and nonferrous), and all auxiliary plant systems.
  • Drive operational excellence through disciplined planning, communication, and execution.
  • Maximize equipment availability, production output, and operational reliability.
  • Lead maintenance execution in partnership with Maintenance leadership.
  • Advance preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve reliability.
  • Own outage planning, execution, and postoutage performance assessment.
  • Maintain and execute the LongTerm Maintenance Plan (LTMP).
  • Ensure accurate, timely, and consistent reporting of key performance indicators, including production, labor, downtime, and operating costs.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives using Lean principles and datadriven decision making.
  • Manage facility operating budgets, forecasting, and cost control initiatives.
  • Evaluate asset performance, capture lessons learned and incorporate improvements into standards and procedures.
  • Develop, coach, and retain highperforming teams while driving succession planning and workforce development.
  • Lead capital planning, budgeting, forecasting, and execution oversight.
  • Ensure compliance with the Reworld Technical Standards Program.
  • Support engineering and project teams with new system startups and resolution of technical operational issues.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to leverage new technologies to improve safety, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Maintain strong, positive relationships with local communities, regulators, and external stakeholders.
  • Support government affairs and outreach efforts to ensure the facility remains a responsible community partner.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 10+ years of progressive operations management experience in an assetintensive environment
  • At least 7 years of supervisory or leadership experience
  • Demonstrated experience managing operations and maintenance execution, including outages
  • Proven ability to lead highperforming teams and drive a strong safety and accountability culture
  • Experience interacting with regulatory agencies and external stakeholders
  • Industry Backgrounds to come from either power generation, wastetoenergy, utilities, specialty chemicals, or other heavy industrial operations

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical discipline required
  • Advanced degree preferred
  • Lean certification is highly desirable

Additional Requirements

  • Experience applying Lean management principles or operating in Lean environments
  • Ability to travel as required

Pay Transparency

Reworld is committed to paying its staff equitably, and we strive to provide competitive compensation and benefits packages. The range below reflects Reworld's reasonable estimate of base pay for this role based on primary posting location. It is expected that most qualified candidates in this location will fall within the posting range. The final salary offered for this role will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to: experience, education, geographic location, skills and competencies, travel requirements and/or union contracts (if applicable). Pay ranges are reviewed from time to time and may be modified in the future.

The pay range for the primary location of this position is: $157,000.00 - $224,400.00 USD. For hourly roles, this is the annualized salary. To calculate the hourly rate, divide by 2080.
