Your Role on the Team Position Summary: The Supervisor, Respiratory & Rehabilitation Services - Float Pool is responsible for the day-to-day operational oversight, clinical guidance, and direct supervision of float pool coworkers deployed across respiratory therapy and rehabilitative service areas within assigned facilities and locations. The incumbent is accountable for directing float pool workflow, ensuring coworker clinical competency, and maintaining the highest standards of care quality, patient safety, and service excellence across all areas of assignment, which may encompass respiratory therapy, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language pathology departments. This role is responsible for the coordination and management of float pool staffing assignments, ensuring appropriate and timely deployment of coworkers to meet the operational and clinical needs of all supported departments and locations. The Supervisor is responsible for the selection, orientation, and training of new float pool coworkers, as well as the ongoing coaching, performance management, and professional development of all assigned coworkers. The Supervisor defines performance expectations, evaluates staff performance, and initiates corrective action as warranted, in alignment with health system policies, regulatory standards, and accreditation requirements. This position serves as a primary clinical and operational resource across all assigned respiratory and rehabilitation areas, providing expertise in discipline-specific practices, patient care protocols, staffing coordination, and problem resolution. The Supervisor maintains accurate staffing and deployment records, ensures adequate coverage across all assigned shifts, departments, and locations, and promotes effective communication, a culture of continuous improvement, and coworker engagement across the float pool team.
