Position Summary: As our Specialist AIT Technician, you are the expert in charge of assisting in the execution of the production plan across the cleanroom floor. Your scope may include any line on the manufacturing floor and even across platforms. As the most senior of the techs, you will provide support to the Production Supervisor, Support Teams, and other Technicians to meet or exceed daily production requirements. You should be proficient in all areas/departments on both test, mechanical assembly, and repair operations and show advanced skill and expertise with various functions. In addition to your advanced technical skills; collaboration, coordination, and versatility will be your super-power! Primary Responsibilities:

- Assist MGSE/EGSE with test and mechanical equipment setups to commission or de-commission new or existing products.
- Train Technicians on mechanical and test operations across all departments and platforms.
- Maintain GEMBA boards and ensure visual management and all other line and process indicators remain accurate.
- In the absence of the Production Supervisor, you may be called upon to act on their behalf.
- In the absence of the Senior Tech, you will be the first responder for production related nonconformances or MGSE/EGSE issues using advance repair and troubleshooting techniques.

- Assist with resolving technical issues on flight hardware and EGSE/MGSE equipment as needed.
- Evaluate, troubleshoot, repair, and resolve non-conformances with a high regard for flight hardware safety.
- Show good judgement in troubleshooting and resolution involving the appropriate teams and engineers and update software tracking of anomalies with updates on repairs performed.

- Create non-conformances to address quality issues and be able to identify if it requires a standard repair or Production Supervisor/Engineering support.
- Manage the troubleshooting process to drive to root cause and disposition according to manufacturing policies.
- Experience using highly technical equipment or other industrial or manufacturing equipment.
- Perform electrical and mechanical assembly operations and on the product of varying complexity. This may include, but is not limited to assembly and test, using testing equipment or MGSE.

- Perform the first level of test results validation, detecting non confirming results and providing an accurate description of the issue to Production Supervisor/Engineering Support/Validation Team.
- Communicate daily tasks with technicians and ensure there is no work stoppages.
- Communicate and coordinate with Production Supervisor and various support teams to ensure work schedule is met and to maintain the Product Line in good standing.
- Communicate with other stakeholders that support the manufacturing line such as, but not limited to, Logistics, Quality, Test Validation, and Production Planning.
- Report any unsafe or non-complaint work process or area.
- Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety and following standard operating procedures.
- Maintain a professional work environment among all Manufacturing Associates and Engineering support.
- Accountable for the housekeeping of the product line by using 5S principles.
- This position reports to the Production Supervisor and is based in Merritt Island, Florida.
Qualified Experience/Skills/Training:
- Associate degree + 5 years 's experience or High School + 7 years' experience
- Quick learner and positive attitude.
- Able to master and understand how the different systems work to be able to provide support as first responder.
- Ability to work independently with little supervision.
- Experience with aerospace manufacturing and test is required. Experience in space a plus.
- Shall be able to understand multi-level product and manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge in the principles of lean manufacturing and 5S required.
- Previous wire harness production experience in space industry preferred (NASA or IPC certification preferred)
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and technical.
- Must be able to review and understand both written and electronic procedures and technical documents in English. Verbal French and Spanish a plus.
- Inspire trust among all levels (Associates, Production Supervisor, and Management).
- Working knowledge of product quality.
- Ability and willingness to work flexible hours, as required.
