Job Family Description

Project management personnel plan, monitor and manage internal projects from initiation through completion. Program management personnel manage programs responsible for the execution of multiple projects or sub-projects. They secure required resources and use formal processes and tools to manage resources, budgets, risks, and changes. They manage projects to ensure on-time completion according to specifications and within budgeted costs.

Discipline Description

In business operations project management roles, individuals oversee initiatives to achieve specific business objectives, such as developing a new process or improving existing processes. They lead teams, manage resources, and facilitate communication among stakeholders to achieve project goals efficiently and within established budget. Project managers use formal project management tools and methodologies, such as Agile, Waterfall, and Scrum.

Some Typical Duties & Responsibilities Include:

Infrastructure Point of Contact (POC) for assigned scope area, facilitating field work completion in compliance with requirements and schedules. Assists in schedule development serving as a conduit between schedule team, budgeting and Subject Matter Experts (SME). Collaborate heavily with Operations, Business, Engineering and Planning Departments to ensure work scope and associated documentation advances properly from initial development through field execution and final review. Support infrastructure improvement efforts by understanding multidisciplinary technical issues and costs related to selection of complex design features, resolving complex technical issues with engineering and other departments, managing complex technical discussions with third parties (customer, suppliers, and regulators) to facilitate appropriate technical and business decisions, coordinating related activities with other departments (e.g., operations, maintenance, procurement, project and construction services and project controls, etc.), and communicating when project risk and performance gaps will impact project budget and schedule and provide solutions to mitigate or resolve the issue(s). Coordinate the proper flow of stakeholder communication through all scope phases. Confirms scope is field ready. Intercedes as needed to facilitate field support through testing/inspection. Performs additional duties as needed. Ability to acquire L level security clearance.

Required Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in relevant field plus at least ten years of experience (YOE), OR Master's degree in relevant field plus at least eight years of experience (YOE), OR Doctoral degree in relevant field plus at least five years of experience (YOE)
* Equivalencies to experience and education requirements will be considered

* Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical management.
* Ability to efficiently navigate multiple priorities, solve complex problems, and maintain attention to detail under tight deadlines.
* Working knowledge of DOE Orders along with training and experience in Site Services requirements and practices in the nuclear and non-nuclear environment.
* Experience or training in company policies and procedures affecting conduct of operations, quality assurance, safety, security, and site systems, is desirable.

Security Clearance Information

SRNS is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug & alcohol test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, criminal records, and employment history, and education verifications. Positions with SRNS may require applicants to obtain and maintain a DOE L or Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. Factors such as pre-employment background review results, dual citizenship status, and unpaid and/or unfiled taxes may impact your ability to obtain a security clearance.
