Key Responsibilities:
Vendor Maintenance & Compliance
- Maintain and update vendor master data with a high degree of accuracy and completeness. - Ensure all vendor records include required tax documentation (e.g., W-9, W-8BEN), banking information, and internal approvals. - Document all changes to vendor records in compliance with internal control procedures. - Monitor and enforce compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Accounts Payable Support- Assist the AP team with recurring tasks such as invoice processing, payment runs, and reconciliations. - Provide backup support during peak periods or staff absences. - Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve vendor-related issues promptly. Accounting & Reporting- Support the Accounting team with journal entries, including but not limited to month-end close activities. - Ensure all entries comply with IFRS standards and internal accounting policies. - Assist with account reconciliations and audit support as needed. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Process Improvement- Partner with Procurement, Finance, and other departments to ensure timely and accurate vendor and financial data. - Act as a liaison between vendors and internal teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure smooth operations. - Embrace change and actively contribute to the automation and streamlining of manual tasks and processes. Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is an asset but not required. - 2+ years of experience in Accounts Payable, Vendor Maintenance, or Accounting. - Strong understanding of internal controls and compliance requirements. - Familiarity with IFRS and month-end close processes. - Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel. - Strong communication, time management, teamwork, and collaboration skills. - Demonstrated ability to adapt to change and support process improvements. - Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. | |
