The Director of Procurement will be responsible for aspects of Material Bid Sourcing, Procurement Operations, and Strategic Sourcing to ensure a resilient, cost-effective supply chain that supports production and program delivery. This role provides strategic leadership to optimize supplier performance, drive value creation, and ensure compliance with requirements. Supervisor Responsibilities: * Create and maintain a skilled workforce through timely coaching and feedback, cross-training, and employee development. Identify training and personal development action plans. * Resolve personnel issues in a timely, effective manner and in accordance with Sechan values expectations. Serves as a role model for values implementation and reinforcement. * Regularly review and communicate department performance in attaining goals and metrics. * Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and values-driven leadership. Position Responsibilities: * Develop and execute the company's procurement strategy, aligning with corporate goals and program requirements. * Lead competitive sourcing and bidding processes to ensure timely, cost-effective acquisition of materials. * Oversee departmental operations including budgeting, compliance, and performance management. * Establish KPIs to drive material availability, supplier quality, and on-time delivery. * Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure resource readiness, surge capacity, and succession planning. * Manage complex bid packages and supplier negotiations to minimize risk and maximize value. * Drive continuous improvement through process optimization and metric-driven performance. * Monitor and mitigate supply chain risks; proactively communicate potential disruptions. * Cultivate strategic supplier relationships to enhance innovation, cost competitiveness, and delivery performance. * Develop category strategies and sourcing plans across programs in collaboration with stakeholders. * Serve as a senior advisor on cost reduction, value analysis, and contract strategy. * Perform other duties as assigned to drive the vision, fulfill the mission, and abide by the values of this organization. Skills & Abilities: * Exceptional leadership and team-building capabilities. * Strong analytical, negotiation, and supplier management skills. * Effective communicator with ability to influence across functions and levels. * Proficient in ERP systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and procurement analytics tools. * Demonstrated success in process improvement and strategic sourcing. * Financial acumen and understanding of cost drivers in EMS supply chains. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, or related field; advanced degree preferred. * Professional certifications (CPSM, CPIM, PMP). * Minimum of 7 years of progressive management experience in procurement, sourcing and planning. * Experience in aerospace/defense and government contracting highly preferred. * Ability to obtain and maintain government security clearance required. Work Environment: * Office Environment: Requires physical capability to work in an office environment including sit/stand up to 9 hours a day and use basic office tools such as a computer, copier/printer, etc. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. * Hours: 1st Shift; with additional hours as needed to meet demand. Occasional off-shift hours may also be required to provide support to operations. * 9/80 work schedule. * Occasional travel may be required. * Office located in Lititz, PA, with occasional visits to Lancaster facility. | |
