What You'll Do

As a Process Engineer, you'll design, optimize, and scale industrial processes-sizing and specifying equipment, developing safe and efficient systems, integrating controls, and supporting commissioning-to reduce cost, improve sustainability, and meet client and code requirements across food & beverage, chemical, petrochemical, and water/wastewater facilities.

  • Assume responsible charge for projects within your experience and expertise; may serve as Engineer of Record (EOR) on assigned work.
  • Evaluate existing processes and equipment; review lab/plant data and prepare clear reports that explain findings and recommendations.
  • Design and commission new production units; implement process modifications and upgrades; troubleshoot existing operations.
  • Apply mass, momentum, and heattransfer principles to size/specify process equipment and design safe, efficient systems.
  • Support scaleup from pilot/smallscale to commercially viable largescale operations with appropriate controls and documentation.
  • Prepare P&IDs, process flow diagrams, and calculations; create risk assessments including PHA and health/safety studies.
  • Lead/participate in site visits to verify field conditions, take measurements, and observe installation/startup activities.
  • Coordinate with authorities, utilities, and municipalities to incorporate code and government requirements.
  • Develop manhour budgets with the Project Manager; plan work to schedule and report progress, risks, and changes.
  • Assist with proactive QA/QC plans; review deliverables prior to issue; maintain accurate project files and change logs.
  • Interface with suppliers, contractors, and clients to refine scope and cost; assist with proposals and client presentations.
  • Participate in professional organizations and continuous learning to track standards, codes, and industry trends.
