Responsibilities

You'llbe theFinance SMEand key business partnerforour Database portfolio.AzureDatabasesincludesome of our most critical workloadsincludingAzure SQL, PostgreSQL, Cosmos DB, andDocumentDB.

This is anexciting rolein a high impactand ambiguousspace, and we are looking for a candidatewho thrives in accelerated, dynamic environments. The Azure business relies heavily on advanced finance partnership to enablesuccessand you will exercisesignificant influenceacross engineering, marketing, sales,corporate strategy,andbusinessplanning organizations.You'llneed to create frameworks to clarify and synthesize requirements. Often you will bring data-driven insights to business partners andvalidatego/no go outcomes with rigorous financialmodelling.



Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field

    • OR Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field

    • OR equivalent experience.

Additionalor Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent cross group collaboration skills including the ability to comfortably communicate with executive management at Microsoft

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple inputs across many stakeholders, prioritizing the effort on main drivers

  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and uncertainty in a business that evolves rapidly.

  • Proven analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills

  • Exhibit a proactive and innovative mindset, with the ability tothink outside the boxand generate creative solutions.

  • Show propensity for learning, anddemonstrateability toidentify, analyze, interpret, and deliver sound solutions

  • Executive level oral and written communication skills - ability to communicate complex analysis and models ina simple way

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and the ability to synthesize insights from large datasets

Protect

  • Ensurescompliance with company policies, legal standards, and regulatory requirements by reviewing andmonitoringthe accuracy of financial documents and business processes.

  • Implementcorrective measures. Supports questionsregardingdocumentation, policy adherence, and requirements.

  • Recommend approved instruments and processes. Remains current on all company policies and procedures and updates others.

Financial Analysis IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $96,500 - $188,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $123,500 - $206,400 per year.
