This role offers the opportunity to build and advance a career working with Scanning Electron Microscopes (SEM) in a semiconductor-focused environment. Successful candidates will have hands-on experience with sample imaging techniques, including Cross-Section SEM (XSEM), Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (EDS/EDX), and sample cleaving.

• Responsible for supporting a variety of semiconductor applications using Scanning Electron Microscopes (SEM) to image challenging structures.
• Experience imaging samples at the wafer level, including acquiring profile, sidewall, and topdown images using SEM.
• Some experience with Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (EDS) analysis.
• Knowledge of SEM image optimization for a variety of materials.
• Ability to contribute to the development of Best Known Methods (BKM) for SEM imaging of new applications.
• Ability to perform SEM alignments and correct basic fault conditions on metrology equipment.
• Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively work with a large internal customer base.

• An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience, with a minimum of 2-4 years of related experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of handson Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) experience.
• Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work a shiftbased schedule as required.

Technical Certificate in a related technical field.
Experience in metrology or related technical areas.
Experience in the semiconductor industry is a plus.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories - On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. 'On-site Flex' you'll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. 'Virtual Flex' you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
