Content Writer (Part-Time)
for an education-focused organization (Remote) Description
Our client is seeking a part-time Content Writer to support curriculum development across a range of subjects, including social studies, science, life skills, social-emotional learning, vocational topics, art, and more. This role focuses on writing and editing lesson plans, updating existing materials, and ensuring content is age-appropriate and engaging, primarily for elementary-level learners. The ideal candidate has experience in special education and is comfortable working within established templates, style guidelines, and feedback loops. Responsibilities
Write and edit curriculum content and lesson plans for various age groups and skill levels.
Integrate existing curriculum materials into new instructional plans as directed.
Update and refine existing content (language, images, structure, and formatting).
Work within pre-defined templates and tools (e.g., Microsoft Word, Adobe, Brandfolder).
Incorporate feedback from team members and complete revisions in a timely manner.
Ideal Background
Experience in special education (e.g., former teacher, paraprofessional, or classroom support).
Comfortable writing lesson plans, preferably at the elementary level.
Bachelor's level education or equivalent experience.
Role Details
Part-time, approximately 20 hours per week.
Remote role with flexible scheduling; strict alignment to a single time zone is not required.
The pay for this W-2 position is$50per hour. This position may be eligible for PTO, health and dental insurance, and/or 401(k) benefits upon meeting certain length of service and hours requirements.
