Job Description

The Senior Analyst - Pricing Analytics & Value Management role supports data-driven pricing strategy and value optimization for our Protective Packaging division. This position plays a key role in pricing large and customized deals, analyzing cost structures, reviewing and repositioning contracts, and supporting volume incentive and rebate programs. The role requires approximately 40% of time on deal pricing support, 25% on strategic projects, and 25% on portfolio deep dives, contract renegotiations, and 10% on your own proposed value-add project (once approved by leadership).



The ideal candidate is a strong analytical thinker with 3 - 5+ years of experience who brings strong intellectual curiosity, an investigative mindset, and the ability to perform deep analytical dives into large datasets. This role requires strong logical reasoning and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights while partnering closely with Regional Sales Directors (RSDs), plant controllers, and cross-functional teams across Sales, Marketing, and Finance. Success in this role requires the ability to build relationships, communicate insights clearly, and gain stakeholder buy-in to support pricing and value management initiatives aligned with corporate goals.



This role is in Charlotte, NC on a hybrid schedule coming into our corporate office Monday through Thursday and the option to work remotely on Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

* Support the pricing of large and customized deals (including $1M+ revenue opportunities), working closely with RSDs to evaluate deal economics, cost structures, and creative solution options.


* Perform deep-dive investigative analysis to identify opportunities to optimize pricing, improve margins, and enhance value capture, including digging into cost structures by working directly with plant controllers to evaluate options and solutions.


* Analyze raw material market trends, cost structures, and cost breakdowns to support pricing recommendations and strategic decision making.


* Perform sales and profitability analyses to identify trends, risks, and opportunities across customers, products, and markets.


* Manipulate and analyze large, complex datasets to identify insights and develop actionable recommendations.


* Develop and maintain pricing models, analytical tools, and scenario analyses to support business planning and pricing decisions.


* Design and maintain PowerBI dashboards and reporting tools to track pricing performance, profitability metrics, and market trends.


* Partner closely with Regional Sales Directors (RSDs), plant controllers, and Marketing teams to provide analytical support for deal pricing, value-based selling, and cost optimization initiatives.


* Translate complex analytical findings into clear and concise insights that support stakeholder understanding and buy-in.


* Balance corporate pricing objectives with customer-specific constraints, generating practical and value-driven pricing solutions.


* Maintain strong attention to detail while proactively identifying opportunities to improve analytical processes, tools, and reporting.


* Contribute to a collaborative team environment, supporting shared goals and team success.


* Review customer contracts and pricing architecture, propose edits to contract language, and support contract renegotiations to better position the business.


* Conduct portfolio deep dives to evaluate margin opportunities, identify repositioning opportunities, and support strategic renegotiations.


* Support volume incentive and rebate programs, including analysis, design, and ongoing management.


* Evaluate pricing architecture and value positioning within the market to support value management strategies.

Required Qualifications:

* 3 - 5+ years of analytical experience in pricing, finance, or a related commercial function.


* Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics, Business, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, Marketing, or a related analytical field.


* Exposure to or ability to quickly learn cost structure analysis, market analysis, sales and profitability analysis.


* Strong ability to manipulate large datasets and translate analysis into actionable insights and recommendations.


* Comfort working directly with sales leaders (e.g., Regional Sales Directors), plant operations, and cross-functional stakeholders.


* Exceptional proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced analytical and modeling capabilities.


* Proficiency in PowerBI and experience building analytical dashboards and reports.


* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.


* Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly communicate analytical insights to diverse stakeholders.


* Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to collaborate across functions and influence decision making.


* Excellent attention to detail with a proactive mindset toward continuous improvement.


* Experience working in fast-paced, collaborative teams prioritizing team success.


* Results-oriented and intellectually curious with strong investigative and analytical capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese.


* Experience working in industrial, manufacturing, packaging, or materials-based industries with exposure to commodity-driven cost structures.


* Experience supporting pricing strategy across global or multi-regional markets.


* Familiarity with ERP systems and enterprise-scale business data environments.


* Prior experience in pricing or value management.


* A background in trade marketing or rebate management


* Basic understanding of commercial contract language and terms.


* Demonstrated leadership through community involvement, extracurricular activities, or professional organizations.

Pay Transparency:

Compensation: $74,500 - 128,455



The range disclosed complies with applicable state and local pay transparency laws. Offers within this range will be determined by considering relevant factors including education, experience, and internal alignment. This position may also be eligible for annual performance bonuses and other incentive programs.
