Job Summary
This position develops security techniques and manage key employee and security services, while providing expertise in the area of executive protection. Will provide transportation and security detail operations; ensuring optimal services to leadership. Collaborates with Security Leadership on high risk security matters. This role deals with highly sensitive and confidential matters.
Depending on the circumstances, this position will be expected to work varying locations, hours, shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays to ensure coverage. This position is an essential role and will be required to work during inclement weather.
Essential Functions
- Strategically develop security techniques and manage key employee and security services, while providing expertise in the area of executive protection.
*Ensure safety and effectiveness of security operations according to policy & procedures, and best practices.. - Anticipate, assess, and manage situations creating a risk of harm to senior executives and others. Make critical decisions, without management consultation or approval, regarding the expeditious and safe resolution of such situations, directing others, including non-employees, and interfacing with law enforcement and potentially hostile and/or disturbed individuals
*Properly mitigate safety risks and properly coordinate safety resolution. - Communicate vulnerabilities or safety concerns in a timely manner to Montefiore Security Leadership
*Effectively and promptly alert security leadership of any issues, to ensure all necessary actions and changes to any procedures are taken to ensure security effectiveness. - Develop, organize and implement comprehensive security measures for executive level meetings/events and travel.
*Implement effective security measures/protocols during executive events and travel. - Manage/conduct key employee and executive event security operations which have or could affect executives based upon known risks, the brand and/or people, property, and proprietary information
*Collaborate with all key individuals at various sites to manage proper security operations to mitigate risks for Montefiore. - Patrols & maintain security presence in vicinity of Executive and Executive suite, including monitoring CCTV and panic alarms.
Provides Relief to centennial lobby post as needed. *Enforce security requirements to ensure safety of executive and that all security policies and procedures are being followed. - Ensure vehicle is in clean and safe operating conditions at all times.
*Ensure vehicle is in excellent condition to provide proper transport to executive. - Mitigate violent threats at Montefiore sites, including active shooter situations.
*Ensure safety of Montefiore associates, patients and visitors. - Ensure submission of receipts for work expenses and travel.
*Submit proper receipts in timely manner to ensure reimbursement. - Investigates security incidents that require immediate attention.
*Ensure prompt and appropriate safety actions are taken. - Operate and maintain protective, operations, and communications equipment.
*Ensure proper maintenance, and handling of all security related equipment.
Qualifications
- High School Required
- 10+ years Law enforcement background
- Security Radios/headsets

- OHS Annual Assessment
- First Aid/CPR/AED Training (HeartSaver certified)
Required - Valid NYS Armed Guard License Required
- Valid full carry pistol permit Required
- Valid HR 218 certificate
Required - Valid Driver License- Clean driving record within past 40 months Required
