Senior Business Analyst

Rockland Trust is seeking a highly skilled and technically proficient Senior Business Analyst to join our Loan Operations team. This role is ideal for an experienced professional who brings deep expertise in business analysis, loan operations, and project management.

The successful candidate will serve as a critical liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring loan-related systems and processes are efficient, scalable, and compliant. Additionally, this individual will serve as project lead for coordinating, testing, training and implementation of all operational system, Bot workflow alignment, and report development for Loan Operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead cross functional project teams implementing process or system changes meeting deadlines and defined success criteria.
• Lead end-to-end analysis of loan operations processes to identify inefficiencies, gaps, and opportunities for automation and improvement.
• Gather, analyze, and translate complex business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
• Collaborate with Product, Technology, Risk, Compliance, and Operational teams to design and implement system enhancements or new solutions.
• Support change management efforts including UAT planning and execution, training, and documentation.
• Drive reporting, dashboards, and data analysis to inform decision-making and performance monitoring within Loan Operations.
• Serve as SME on loan data flows, systems integrations, and process dependencies across the loan lifecycle.
• Participate in Business Continuity Planning and Disaster Recovery exercises as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, or related field; Master's degree a plus.
• 5+ years of business analysis experience in financial services, with a strong focus on loan operations or lending systems.
• Deep understanding of banking operations and loan servicing systems. IBS and nCino experience a plus.
• Hands-on experience with data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Power BI, Alteryx, Excel) and process mapping (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart).
• Proven ability to bridge business and technical stakeholders with strong communication and documentation skills.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated, dependable, well organized, and able to work independently and as a team member.

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of regulatory frameworks (e.g., HMDA, CRA, BCBS 239).
• Experience with Agile project methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
• Certifications such as ECBA, CBAP, CDMP, PMP, or Lean Six Sigma are highly desirable.
