OVERVIEW:

Upper School History Teachers at Kent Denver School are experienced, energetic, and innovative educators who demonstrate a strong commitment to student-centered learning and active, inclusive classroom practices. They collaborate closely with departmental and divisional colleagues to design and deliver an engaging and developmentally appropriate curriculum and contribute positively to the intellectual and cultural life of the school.

This part-time position includes teaching History (US and/or Global, Foreign Policy) classes

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Teach two sections of upper school classes in the subject of expertise

  • Develop course curriculum, lessons, and policies in collaboration with other department teachers to ensure program consistency across the same grade-level classes

  • Complete routine administrative work in a timely fashion and in accordance with our school policies and practices, including taking attendance, grading, comment writing, student-parent conferences, office hours, and LMS use.

  • Participate in department, division, and all-school meetings, and (optional) professional development days

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in history or a relevant field

  • 3+ years of teaching experience is ideal

Salary Range:

The annual salary range is approximately $25,000 - $45,000 depending on experience and qualifications. This is based on 40% of our full-time faculty salary ranges.

This is a part-time position and does not have benefits.
