PURPOSE OF POSITION:

• Ensure all facilities, plant systems, and production equipment operate safely, reliably, and efficiently under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor.
• ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Maintain safe and optimal operation of facility, plant, and production equipment.
• Expertly troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Repair and service supporting machinery in compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Work collaboratively and professionally with production teams, coworkers, vendors, and contractors.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in industrial ammonia refrigeration preferred.
• Five years' hands-on experience.
• Advanced understanding of three-phase motors, motor controls, and food processing equipment.
• Familiarity with pumps, gear ratios, hand tools, and power tools.
• Proficiency in welding, cutting, and general plant maintenance practices.
• Ability to read and troubleshoot from electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Strong understanding of safe work practices, PPE, and OSHA standards.
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow written procedures in English.
• Strong communication skills; able to work independently or in a team.
• Ability to work flexible hours across all shifts.
• Detail-oriented with strong mathematical aptitude.
• Ability to pass required math/reading assessments.
• Ability to stand 8-10 hours and work in hot, cold, or harsh environments.
• Ability to obtain a boiler operator license.
