TSC is seeking an experienced Senior Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to support our growing organization. This role is critical in driving HR strategies that align with business priorities and ensuring a positive employee experience. The Senior HRBP will partner closely with Operations, Program, and corporate stakeholders to execute the company's HR strategy, foster organizational growth, and provide expert guidance on HR policies and procedures.

The successful candidate will build and maintain strong, productive relationships across line and program management teams, supporting key initiatives including employee relations, performance management, compensation, workforce planning, and succession planning. The successful candidate will independently collaborate across HR and other corporate functions to solve complex challenges, serve as a trusted agent, and align HR strategies with business priorities to ensure a positive employee experience.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a practical, solution-oriented approach to HR objectives and challenges. This position requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to build productive relationships across all levels of the organization.

This position requires the ability to work onsite as needed at TSC's Huntsville, AL facility with remote work available at other times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clear and effective communication of HR policies and procedures to employees and managers.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, offering guidance on HR-related matters and ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Research and resolve employee-related issues, ensuring solutions align with policies and procedures.
  • Conduct and/or support investigations into alleged misconduct or performance concerns, engaging appropriate stakeholders and recommending courses of action.
  • Ensure accurate and timely updates in the HRIS system.
  • Develop and maintain HR metrics and reporting to monitor trends and support decision-making.
  • Coach and counsel managers on employee-related matters, escalating complex issues to HR leadership as appropriate.
  • Support HR audits and compliance efforts, including FLSA, SCA, DCAA, and OFCCP requirements.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of employee counseling and corrective actions in accordance with company policies.
  • Facilitate performance management and review cycles, including:
    • Training managers on effective performance reviews and ratings
    • Ensuring timely completion of reviews and escalating exceptions as needed
    • Analyzing trends and identifying areas of concern using data insights
  • Partner with leadership to identify employee development needs and ensure training records, licenses, and required hours are tracked and renewed as needed.
  • Maintain working knowledge of company benefits and compensation programs, supporting employee and manager inquiries.
  • Support compensation-related activities such as salary equity audits and pay band reviews.
  • Collect and analyze employee data to monitor trends in attrition, engagement, and satisfaction, recommending actions based on findings.
  • Partner with leadership to identify high-potential employees, succession candidates, and related development needs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or a related field plus 8 or more years of progressive HR experience as a full-function HR Generalist or HR Business Partner.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state employment laws, including but not limited to Title VII, Civil Rights Act of 1991, ADA, ADEA, FMLA, FLSA, SCA, and PDA.
  • Proven ability to coach and advise leaders on employee relations, performance concerns, and sensitive employee issues with diplomacy and discretion.
  • Experience conducting effective, confidential investigations into alleged misconduct, policy violations, and/or performance issues and recommending appropriate action based on findings.
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve employee-related challenges and serve as a trusted advisor to managers and stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively partner across all levels of the organization and with diverse groups.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, interpret, and present data to support employee and business decisions.
  • Proven ability to protect employee data and maintain compliance with HIPAA requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in ambiguous situations and solve problems when guidance is limited, or precedent does not exist.
  • Technical aptitude and professional curiosity to leverage HR technology to streamline HR functions and improve efficiency.
  • Experience supporting and/or administering compensation-related activities such as salary equity audits, pay band reviews, and training for managers/employees.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience using Workday as an HCM system.
  • Professional certification in Human Resources (e.g., SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP, PHR/SPHR) preferred.
