Description
Position Summary The Charter Education Manager role is to provide primary oversight in areas of charter school - compliance, performance, and model expansion; serve as the liaison between AMIkids Home office and Local School Board; providing direction to ensure applicable programs are operating in accordance with School Board Contract(s), AMIkids Personal Growth Model (PGM) education component(s), Vocation Programs, and local, state, and federal requirements. Essential Job Duties
- Oversight of Charter School Program(s), ensuring compliance and performance.
- Maintain knowledge of the evolving landscape around charter school education.
- Draft and submit documentation and information in support of Program reporting and/or requests for proposals, as directed; ensure documentation required to receive educational funding is complete and submitted in accordance with established guidelines.
- Monitor Program educational statistical results to ensure they meet all contractual requirements, achieve satisfactory state accountability metrics, and provide technical operations assistance where necessary.
- Ensure programs meet all Regulatory requirements as defined by AMIkids, federal and state laws, and school districts.
- Develop, coordinate, and conduct various structured and informal training for Team Members to facilitate professional development and effectiveness; research and deliver instructional materials; assist teachers in obtaining and/or maintaining required certifications.
- Schedule, train, and evaluate both certified and non-certified instructional Team Members in the achievement of educational Program objectives and long-term goals,
- Encourage positive cooperation in the workplace, motivate and guide Team Members to accomplish established educational goals and objectives, and increase team success by continued partnership with AMIkids corporate team.
- Communicate with Program(s) pertaining to education personnel, planning, monitoring, and aiding with the design and implementation of policies and procedures,
- Establish and maintain an effective partnership with internal/external stakeholders to continue building AMIkids' relationship in the communities and the charter education market.
- Partner with Principal and Career Coordinator, or designee, to monitor compliance with Vocational Education,
- Implement effective organizational, time management, and project management skills to ensure efficient service delivery and timely processing.
- Manage a wide variety of administrative duties as they relate to departmental operations, e.g., accreditation status, testing compliance, transcript requirements, student records, master teaching schedule, and contractual education requirements.
- Actively participate in the recruitment and development, training, and evaluation of Team Members at Program(s),
- Attend all required training/professional development events and maintain all appropriate certifications and licenses,
- Ensure all appropriate certifications, licensing, and educational requirements are maintained and in compliance with all applicable regulatory standards,
- Position requires driving on a regular basis.
- Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education, Training and Experience
- Master's degree in education with a focus in Leadership or Curriculum,
- A minimum of five (5) years Charter Education Leadership experience,
- A minimum of three (3) years professional experience working with youth to include supervisory/administrative responsibility,
- Experience leading school performance outcomes, preferred.
- Experience leading start-up efforts in designated markets, preferred.
- Possess and maintain professional Teachers Certification as defined by local and/or state requirements in the state of employment.
- Microsoft skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required,
