*Job Title: Operations Specialist (Entry Level)* *Job Description* The Operations Specialist provides essential administrative and operational support to the Operations Team, helping ensure efficient workflows and high-quality service across assigned regions. This role serves as a primary point of contact for the office and supports daily operations related to patient access, documentation, and process improvement.
The ideal candidate is organized, detailoriented, and able to manage multiple priorities independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams. This position is well suited for someone who is customer-service driven, adaptable, and eager to learn healthcare operations and systems. *Key Responsibilities* * Support the Operations Team with daily administrative and operational tasks to meet regional and departmental needs * Serve as a primary point of contact for the office, providing guidance and support as needed * Assist with discovery, training, and onboarding related to AdaptHealth processes and workflows * Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance workflow efficiency, data accuracy, and verification processes * Review, process, verify, and submit required documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance * Complete insurance verification to determine patient eligibility, coverage, deductibles, and co-insurance * Interpret payer guidelines and review clinical documentation to confirm qualification and compliance for equipment and services * Maintain working knowledge of company products, services, and operational procedures * Collaborate with internal teams across customer service, intake, operations, and revenue cycle functions * Utilize systems such as Epic and Microsoft Office to support documentation, reporting, and operational tracking *Required Skills & Competencies* * Strong verbal and written communication skills * Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment * Customer service-oriented mindset with a focus on patient support * Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); ability to learn new software systems * Technical aptitude to understand system interactions and data flow * Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team * Adaptable, proactive, patient, and accountable with a strong attention to detail *Preferred Qualifications* * General knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial insurance plans * Familiarity with payer methodologies and healthcare documentation requirements * Experience with Epic or similar healthcare systems * Experience in administrative support, patient registration, patient access, or healthcare operations *Experience Level* Entry Level *Job Type & Location*This is a Contract position based out of Jefferson City, MO. *Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
