Cable Technician (Entry Level) * This is a full-time, in-person field role. * Work days start in Kapolei Position Summary We are seeking an Entry-Level Cable Technician to support the installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications infrastructure. This role involves hands-on fieldwork, customer interaction, and assisting other installers with various construction and technical tasks related to cable and fiber optic systems. Essential Functions * Install and configure cable systems * Place aerial and underground cable to connect customer premises. * Install enclosures such as pedestals, handholes, vaults, and other infrastructure components. * Mark and label facilities to identify and trace wiring. * Assist with or perform fiber optic splicing, testing, and repairs. * Perform general construction labor, including transporting equipment and installing cables using trenching, plowing, or boring techniques. * Conduct signal testing and troubleshooting to ensure service meets quality standards. * Restore landscape or jobsite conditions after installations. * Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles to ensure they remain organized and operational. * Complete all required documentation and work records. * Provide assistance to Drop Installer II & III team members as needed. * Follow all safety guidelines, protocols, and industry standards (e.g., OSHA, NESC). * Deliver excellent customer service, including answering questions and explaining equipment usage. * Perform additional duties as assigned.
