The Department of Conservation & Natural Resources is seeking a full-time Seasonal Food Service Worker 1 to support operations at the Kings Gap Environmental Education Center. In this role, you will provide friendly and reliable food service and housekeeping for guests using the Mansion and Training Center, helping create a welcoming and enjoyable experience for all. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will help create a clean, welcoming, and enjoyable experience for guests by supporting both food service and housekeeping operations throughout the Kings Gap Environmental Education Center. Your work ensures that dining areas, guest rooms, and shared facilities are well-maintained and ready for use. Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing the dining room for meals, including arranging tables, tablecloths, table settings, and condiments
- Assisting the cook with food preparation and serving meals to guests
- Cleaning dining and break areas, including washing dishes and vacuuming floors
- Preparing guest bedrooms and bathrooms by changing linens, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing restrooms, showers, and tubs
- Performing housekeeping duties throughout the facility, such as cleaning restrooms, dusting, and general upkeep

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- This is a seasonal, full-time position with no healthcare benefits. There is not an option to buy into health care benefits. The season runs from approximately March 2026 until November 2026 at which time the employee will be placed on leave without pay. The employee will automatically be returned to employment March 2027.
- Employee will work 37.5 hrs./ days per week to include holidays, evenings and weekends
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
