Description

The Therapeutic and Sports Massage Therapist provides safe, effective therapeutic massage services to the TCO community using a range of techniques including therapeutic rehabilitation, deep tissue, sports massage, and Swedish massage.

This role supports a diverse patient population including orthopedic rehabilitative, geriatric, and athletic, while building strong relationships with patients and internal referral partners such as physicians, physical therapists, interdepartmental ancillary and sports performance staff.

This is a full-time position working Monday-Friday with varying hours between 7:00am-6:00pm out of our Edina and Eden Prairie locations.

Twin Cities Orthopedics is an operating division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health), a group of local medical practices, owned and led by its physicians, on a mission to give patients more control over their healthcare.

Essential Functions:



  • Provide high-quality massage therapy to clients using evidence-based methodology with primary focus on improving client wellness and functional outcomes
  • Maintain current knowledge with concepts, techniques and best practices specific to massage therapy
  • Manage client complaints and customer service concerns relating to massage therapy while collaborating with supervisor when necessary for resolution
  • Demonstrate schedule flexibility to meet business needs including split shifts, weekends, nights, irregularly scheduled meetings, etc.
  • Actively market and promote massage therapy services by building relationships with physical therapists, physicians, sports medicine, sports performance and other ancillary service team members and stakeholders. Participate in outreach and internal engagement efforts to develop and sustain a consistent book of business and community impact
  • Collaborate effectively as part of an interdisciplinary care team, demonstrating professionalism, active listening, mutual respect, and trust-building
  • Maintain safe, clean and professional environment for staff and clients
  • Any and all other duties as assigned


Education and Experience Requirements:



  • Degree or certification from accredited professional massage program
  • Current board certification and active city and/or state licensure required to practice; passing the MBLEx examination preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience providing therapeutic massage therapy; experience in orthopedic, rehabilitative, and/or sports massage preferred.

Working Conditions:



  • Frequentlylift up to 50 pounds independently and occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance.
  • Requires the ability to stand, walk, bend, and move continuously throughout the shift.
  • Must be able to frequently perform physical activities such as pushing, pulling, and reaching.
  • Visual acuity to read electronic and paper documents.
  • Auditory ability to participate in phone or video calls clearly.
  • Manual dexterity to operate standard office equipment (e.g., computer, phone, printer).
