Key Responsibilities
- Oversee North America (NAM) daily general ledger accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
- Support the NAM controller in reporting and analysis of accounts receivable and account payable functions.
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements in compliance with US GAAP and company policies.
- Ensure integrity of financial data through detailed account reconciliations, variance analysis, and timely issue resolution.
- Review and approve journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Establish, maintain, and enforce strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, HR and business leaders to support decision-making and financial planning and process improvements.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling activities across the NAM region.
- Coordinate and manage external audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of accounting operations.
- Lead, develop, and mentor the NAM accounting team, including hiring, coaching, and performance management.
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, corporate policies, and reporting standards.
- Drive continuous improvement in reporting quality, close cycle timelines, and overall operational efficiency.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
- 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting requirements
- Experience managing general ledger, month-end close, and financial statement preparation
- Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing accounting teams
- Experience working cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, and business stakeholders
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders
- Experience improving accounting processes, internal controls, and systems to drive efficiency and accuracy
