The Warehouse Specialist serves as a key liaison between Interface and the third-party logistics partner, coordinating carrier scheduling and supporting efficient warehouse operations. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments. Educational requirements:
- College degree in a related field preferred
- Equivalent management experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
- High School/GED required
Skills and experience:
- Preferably three years of experience in distribution or warehouse operations
- Demonstrated leadership abilities
- Team-oriented with a commitment to achieving operational goals
- Strong computer proficiency
- Knowledge of shipping and inventory control systems, ideally JDEdwards Enterprise One ERP, or willingness to master them
- Solid mathematical and reasoning skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Essential duties:
- Support the Warehouse Manager in day-to-day operations
- Schedule dock appointments and coordinate carrier activities
- Allocate production tasks and communicate work to third-party logistics (3PL) partner, Kenco
- Crosstrain in the Nora Warehouse Specialist role
- Verify sales order information and process orders through 940 sales order extract
- Work flexible schedules, including different shifts or locations; rotations are typically long-term, with occasional short-term rotations as needed
- Foster strong cross-functional relationships by communicating effectively with other departments
- Interpret and enforce company policies and safety standards
- Provide training to team members when required
- Work overtime as necessary to meet business objectives
- Maintain excellent housekeeping standards in the warehouse
- Comply with all safety rules and environmental regulations
- Be knowledgeable of departmental Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)
- Perform other duties as assigned
Physical demands:
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 60 pounds
- Significant walking or standing required throughout the shift
- Ability to handle stress and maintain performance in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Work environment:
- Non-climate controlled warehouse environment
