Koch Ag & Energy Solutions (KAES) is seeking an Accounting Manager to join our Finance, Accounting & Risk organization supporting SG&A finance. In this role, you will lead a team responsible for partnering with business and capability leaders to provide transparent financial analysis, actionable insights, and strong cost stewardship across the organization.

This role creates value by helping leaders better understand their cost structures, enabling informed decision-making through clear reporting and forward-looking analysis. You and your team will coordinate annual forecasting processes, deliver insightful analysis on cost performance, and partner closely with corporate finance to manage and report corporate costs impacting the business.

The ideal candidate will bring strong economic thinking, leadership capability, and a desire to continuously improve processes by leveraging technology and data. You will play a key role in developing talent within the SG&A team while helping the business identify opportunities to optimize costs and drive long-term value.

Our Team

The Accounting Manager will be a part of the larger Controller Team, which oversees consolidated financials, audits, taxes, fixed assets, cost management, and reporting. This position is located at the Wichita, KS headquarters and offers a flexible work schedule.

What You Will Do

  • Lead and develop a team responsible for SG&A financial analysis, reporting, and forecasting.
  • Provide actionable insight to the business by delivering transparent and insightful analysis of key business drivers; get behind the numbers to understand root causes and translate insights into decisions.
  • Lead annual SG&A forecasting processes, engaging cross-functionally to establish alignment and a clear connection between key bets and projected financial impact.
  • Provide and effectively communicate transparent financial analysis and reporting to business and capability leaders to allow for informed decision making.
  • Partner with corporate finance teams to manage and report corporate costs impacting the business.
  • Challenge the status quo and drive continuous improvement with an entrepreneurial mindset-identifying better ways to measure, explain, and improve business performance while leveraging technology.
  • Communicate complex analysis clearly and concisely to leadership using strong storytelling and visualization, influencing decisions with fact-based recommendations.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Experience in accounting, cost accounting, financial analysis, or related role(s) that demonstrates a professional understanding of accounting and financial concepts and cost accounting principles.
  • Supervisory Experience - experience leading and developing individuals and/or a team.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related business field.
  • Experience with financial forecasting, budgeting, and cost analysis.
  • Experience working with financial systems and data tools such as OneStream, Power BI, Alteryx, or similar analytics platforms.
  • Familiarity with leveraging AI copilots/LLMs and automation tools to enhance analysis, forecasting, and reporting workflows.
  • Experience and strong desire to improve financial processes through automation, technology adoption, and transformation initiatives.
  • Experience supporting SG&A cost management or corporate cost structures in a complex organization.
