Job Summary:
Leads the implementation of Lean Portfolio Management practices across the enterprise to optimize flow, improve value delivery, and strengthen strategic outcomes. The Lean Portfolio Management Coach enables effective strategy-to-execution alignment by coaching executives, leaders, and teams to operate using Lean-Agile principles at scale. This role blends strategy enablement, systems thinking, leadership coaching, and lightweight governance to drive organizational agility. The coach facilitates strategic and investment planning, guides the adoption of portfolio-level agile practices, and leverages performance insights and metrics to support data-informed decision-making and continuous improvement.
Essential Functions:
- Facilitates the implementation of Lean Portfolio Management (LMP) practices to enhance organizational agility and optimize workflow across the enterprise.
- Coaches executives, leaders, and teams on effective strategy-to-execution alignment using Lean-Agile principles at scale.
- Guides strategic and investment planning to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and maximize value delivery.
- Promotes the adoption of portfolio-level agile practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and data-informed decision-making.
- Utilizes performance insights and metrics to identify opportunities for enhancement in processes and strategic outcomes.
- Provides leadership coaching and supports lightweight governance to drive effective decision-making and system thinking across the organization.
- Facilitates and coaches enterprise-level portfolio and strategy events to drive integrated planning, decision-making, learning and alignment.
- Establishes and facilitates inspect-and-adapt cycles at the portfolio and enterprise levels to ensure alignment with enterprise growth and maintain currency with evolving healthcare industry practices.
- Matures the Lean Portfolio Management operating model to ensure consistency across portfolios, enable standardization for optimization and scalability, and preserve flexibility in execution.
- Develop and deliver LPM training and enablement materials for sustainability.
- Develop internal LPM coaching capability to reduce dependency on eternal consultants.
- Define and coach the use of outcome-oriented metrics (OKRs, KPIs, flow metrics) and help leaders interpret metrics to drive better decisions (not simply for compliance).
- Develop, maintain and train on LPM dashboards to ensure transparency and a focus on outcomes.
- Act as a change agent for enterprise Agile and Lean maturation to ensure adoption.
- Partner with enablement leaders, Agile CoE, and key stakeholders to identify systemic impediments and remove them.
- Perform any other job related duties as requested.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field is required
- Equivalent years of relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of required education
- Ten (10) years Progressive experience in portfolio management, project/program management, agile delivery or enterprise transformation roles within complex organizations required
- Five (5) years Direct experience coaching or leading lean/agile practices at scale required
- Five (5) years Experience operating in large, matrixed or regulated environments required
- Three (3) years Experience in the healthcare sector required
- Demonstrated experience working with senior leaders and executives required

Licensure and Certification:
- Certified Coach or Facilitator preferred
- Business Agility or Agile Practitioner preferred
- Certified Scrum Master preferred
- Certified Scrum Product Owner preferred
- Certified Project Manager preferred
Working Conditions:
- General office environment; may be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time
- May be required to work additional hours and/or outside normal business hours as needed to meet deadlines.
- Up to 25% (regular) travel to attend meetings, trainings, and conferences may be required
Compensation Range: $113,000.00 - $197,700.00 CareSource takes into consideration a combination of a candidate's education, training, and experience as well as the position's scope and complexity, the discretion and latitude required for the role, and other external and internal data when establishing a salary level. In addition to base compensation, you may qualify for a bonus tied to company and individual performance.
