Please note that this position is contingent upon the successful award of a contract currently under bid. Peregrine is a pioneer within the cybersecurity industrial control systems and the Internet of Things, supporting many federal and commercial customers. Peregrine's experienced staff knows the cybersecurity and operational technology environment and provides these capabilities for our customers daily. Summary: The Business Subject Matter Specialist (SME) supports the maintenance, enhancement, and development of enterprise systems by analyzing business processes and providing actionable recommendations.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
- Support the systems maintenance and development through business process review, documentation, and recommendations for modifications
- Determines as-is business processes and procedures, documents gaps, and recommends alternatives
- Technical Project Management
- Will utilize project management tools to coordinate and plan development work
- Meet regularly with the business owner team to report progress, set priorities and coordinate requirements gathering
- Gather requirements
- Help develop timelines
- Ensure developers are available to develop software to meet those timelines
- Coordinate with Business Process team to obtain User Acceptance and Release scheduling
Qualifications
Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
- Strong skills in process mapping, workflow analysis, and documentation.
- Ability to evaluate complex business processes and recommend practical improvements.
- Application Development
- Utilize Java, Javascript (REACT) to develop the tools
- Understand Git and GitHUB to continuously integrate and deploy software
- Develop the processes using an Event Source software architecture
- Understand Cloud-native infrastructure
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3-7 years of experience in business analysis, process improvement, or related business systems role.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
