The Media Project Manager leads day-to-day project management responsibilities across the agency and drives execution of client and strategic objectives. The PM is responsible for overseeing multichannel media projects from initiation through delivery, ensuring projects move efficiently through agency processes, remain on schedule, and meet all quality and financial requirements.
This role partners closely with cross-functional teams to manage scope, timelines, budgets, and resources. The Project Manager serves as the central point of coordination for internal stakeholders and may have direct client interaction related to timelines, process, and deliverables. This position requires strong judgment, proactive problem-solving, and the ability to balance agency and client priorities while maintaining process integrity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and manage projects from implementation through execution across multichannel media initiatives
  • Develop, manage, and maintain detailed project timelines, ensuring alignment with agency process and client expectations
  • Balance scope, timing, and resources while proactively identifying risks and mitigation strategies
  • Ensure adherence to project timelines and milestone completion through active cross-functional collaboration
  • Lead internal status meetings and facilitate cross-department alignment
  • Serve as primary point of contact for project-related communication with internal stakeholders and, when appropriate, clients
  • Monitor and manage project scope, identifying and escalating potential scope changes
  • Support financial oversight of projects, including tracking budgets, burn rates, and resource allocation
  • Ensure projects are routed accurately and efficiently through digital routing systems
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation within planning, financial, and digital asset management systems
  • Provide clear, proactive status updates to agency teams and clients
  • Champion agency processes while identifying opportunities for workflow improvements
  • Mentor and provide guidance to Project Coordinators and Associate Project Managers
Leadership & Strategic Impact
  • Drive operational rigor and accountability across assigned accounts
  • Influence project outcomes through proactive planning and stakeholder alignment
  • Partner with discipline leads to optimize workflow efficiency
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of project management standards and best practices
Essential Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent; marketing/advertising/communications concentration preferred
  • 3-6 years of project management experience within advertising, media, or pharmaceutical marketing preferred
  • Proven experience managing multichannel or integrated campaigns
  • Strong knowledge of project planning methodologies and workflow processes
  • Proficiency in MS Suite (Word, Project, Excel, PowerPoint), Acrobat Professional; experience with Wrike strongly preferred
  • Experience managing budgets and financial tracking
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Self-motivated, proactive, reliable, and a collaborative team leader

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $65,000 to $85,000. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. In addition, some positions may include eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and / or individual performance.
