Job Description: AI Engineer Location: Dallas / Phoenix / Denver / Indianapolis / Omaha / Michigan Duration: 6 months - C2H Organizational/Role Description: This position will be responsible for leading 'hands-on' engineering to accelerate intelligent automation and AI solutions across the CTS teams. You will lead the delivery of automation (workflow, rules, orchestration) and AI capabilities (ML/NLP/GenAI) that improve experiences, reduce manual effort, and enhance quality. You'll partner with TSSG teams, product, architecture, ART (Toil Reduction Team), IS&O to prioritize high-value use cases, deliver measurable outcomes, and scale solutions responsibly. You will coach engineers to adopt enhancements and mature our platform, patterns, and guardrails so teams ship fast and safely. In this role, it will be critical that you are a self-motivated independent learner. Automation and AI are evolving rapidly, and it will require continual learning and development of your Engineering skills as new products and systems become available. This role is part of the Corporate Technology Services organization where you will work with your counterparts to help implement new Automation/AI practices through evangelization, organizational engagement, resiliency programs, office hours, leadership forums and an engineering-focused Community of Practice. What you have: Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, or related field. Minimum 5 years in a developer role focused on Automation/AI in a Sr. role. Strong engineering background (services, API's, Python/C#/Java), CI/CD and DevSecOps. Hands-on experience with intelligent automation and at least one AI domain (ML, NLP, or GenAI), including evaluation/observability Demonstrated application of Responsible AI controls and risk partnership. Excellent stakeholder communication and roadmap/priority management skills. Presented findings or led training sessions at least twice annually to share Automation/AI efficiencies, enhancing team performance or adoption rates for reliability engineering methods. Managed or mentored junior engineers or teams in Automation/AI best practices. Proven success and examples of Automation/AI efforts with resulting efficiencies gained (e.g., building prompts). Experience with enterprise automation tooling (e.g., Power Automate, UI Path, Microsoft Co-Pilot, Chat GPT etc.) What you'll do: Evangelize an automation and efficiency mindset and practices across the CTS organization. Partner with support, development, and business stakeholders to design creative automation solutions that improve team efficiencies. Work with other CTS and STS Automation teams to collaborate and partner on automation efforts. Design and develop solutions to eliminate toil and manual effort from day-to-day support responsibilities. Document automation guidance and best practices. Advocate for and drive adoption of said practices. Foster a culture of learning through coaching, mentoring, and knowledge sharing around reliability practices, processes, and tools. Develop tools, frameworks, and instrumentation to validate and increase release success for applications.
