JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Manage and grow commercial, pleasure craft and yacht relationships with marine customers, including shipyards, OEMs, fleets, owners/operators, and government agencies.
  • Drive new business across propulsion, gensets, repower, hybrid/electric solutions, and service agreements.
  • Lead the full sales lifecycle, from lead generation through RFQs, proposals, negotiations, and contract closely ensuring pricing discipline and profitability.
  • Conduct customer visits, site assessments, and technical/commercial reviews; deliver compelling presentations on Cat marine solutions and lifecycle value.
  • Oversee major bids, turnkey proposals, and repower projects, ensuring accurate specifications through coordination with Engineering and Caterpillar Application teams.
  • Collaborate crossfunctionally with Operations, Product Support, Finance, Legal, Project Management, and Marketing to ensure successful execution and risk management.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the dealer and Caterpillar's Marine organization, including joint calls, account planning, and opportunity reviews.
  • Own the marine sales forecast, maintaining an accurate CRM pipeline and providing S&OP inputs for demand planning and allocation.
  • Track and report on competitive activity, lost deals, and market trends; participate in Caterpillar training and commercial governance programs.

RECOMMENDED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Marine Technology, or relevant experience.
  • 5+ years in Marine and/or Power Systems sales; Cat dealer or Marine engine experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong communication, coordination, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, CRM platforms, and other position related software.
  • Detail oriented, strong planning and time management skills.
