Description

The Warehouse and Logistics Manager effectively leads, motivates, and develops the warehouse team members and other key stakeholdersto optimize warehouse space safely and effectively by ensuring that quality finished goods are received and shipped in a timely and accurate manner. The manager ensures that raw materials and finished goods are inspected and preserved to meet quality standards and ensures that inventory is accurately accounted for and organized.

This position will report to the Plant Manager at our Liberty Packaging location in Rock Island, Illinois.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage warehouse processes and procedures in compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Inspire, lead, coach, and foster accountability for our core values, processes, and programs.
  • Manage inventory management processes to meet the needs of the mills by monitoring, auditing, and forecasting inventory. Ensure that inventory accuracy is consistently maintained to optimize efficiency.
  • Safeguards finished goods quality through the execution of shipping (Outbound) Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for both the Paper Machines and Coater Machine, continually monitoring and looking for opportunities for improvement.
  • Safeguards raw material quality by executing receiving (Inbound) SOP's. Continually monitors and looks for ways to improve.
  • Engages in administrative processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency; examples include but are not limited to team scheduling, payroll review, and annual budgeting.
  • Maintains good physical condition of the warehouse by planning and implementing housekeeping audits, monitoring design layouts, and utilizing a work order system for repairs and improvements.
  • Leads, manages, and supervises warehouse team members, including, but not limited to, performance management, training, and practical, clear communication.
  • Provide clear guidance and direction to team members, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Other duties, as assigned

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • High School Diploma.
  • Bachelor's degree in production management or business is preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years experience in a supervisory or management role in a manufacturing environment.

  • Excellent communication skills - the ability to handle difficult conversations with employees
  • Strong demonstrated leadership skills and the proven ability to lead effective teams
  • Relationship Builder - ability to work with all levels within the organization; professionally represents self and LPI to external contacts. Must have the ability to work well with others in a team environment
  • Strong attention to detail/commitment to accuracy
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to positively implement change
  • Must be flexible with work hours and be available by phone during off-hours
  • Excellent time management skills required to ensure accomplishment of required responsibilities
  • Must be results-oriented and have the ability to set high standards of performance and goals for self and others while working under minimal supervision
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
  • Customer focused

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

The starting base salary range for this position is $95,800 - $119,700 per year. The compensation posted is the anticipated pay for the position at the time of the posting. We may pay above or below posted amount based on several factors, including, but not limited to education and/or certifications, skills, experience, or work location. Some positions may qualify for additional compensation in the form of bonuses.
