| Essential Job Duties |
Help deliver high-quality diagnostic care to the NC State community by providing professional radiology services in a patient-centered clinical environment. As a Radiology Technician at Campus Health, you will produce high-quality diagnostic images using modern radiology equipment and cloud-based software while supporting providers with timely, accurate imaging that contributes to exceptional patient care. This role combines technical expertise, patient interaction, and a commitment to safety to ensure efficient clinical operations and positive patient experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnostic Imaging & Patient Care
- Perform radiographic procedures, including patient positioning and digital image capture, to produce high-quality diagnostic images for Campus Health providers.
- Apply knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and disease processes to deliver safe, accurate, and compassionate patient care throughout the imaging process.
- Communicate relevant patient information to clinicians and radiologists, serving as a liaison to support timely diagnosis and treatment.
Clinical Operations & Documentation
- Accurately enter patient information into the electronic health record and communicate effectively with patients, providers, and staff through phone, email, and in-person interactions.
- Maintain radiology equipment through routine quality control, cleaning, and monitoring to ensure reliable operation and high-quality imaging.
Safety & Regulatory Compliance
- Maintain a clean clinical environment and follow infectious disease protocols to support patient and staff safety.
- Properly handle medical, biological, and infectious waste while adhering to radiation safety, OSHA, and Environmental Health and Safety standards.
- Participate in scheduled meetings, drills, training, and other departmental activities to support ongoing operational readiness.

| Other Responsibilities |
- Participate in fire and emergency preparedness drills.
- Must report to work during Adverse Weather and related scenarios and for public health emergencies.

Qualifications
| Minimum Experience/Education |
High school diploma or equivalency and two years of experience in medical diagnostics; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Some positions may require additional training, certifications, or licenses.

| Preferred Qualifications |
- General knowledge of the basic pathophysiological process being monitored and how radiologic science is applied.
- Ability to work independently and practice good judgement to ensure high quality care.
- Ability to perform specialized orthopedic procedures such as weight bearing lower extremities.
- Ability to perform or learn phlebotomy for high volume days.
