Job Overview

TheQuality Assurance Specialistrole serves to support a healthy Quality Management System by acting as a process owner, subjectmatter expert, project manager, facilitatorfor the various subjects within Modular's Quality Management System.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Each day will present you with new challenges and opportunities to test and grow your skills. As a Quality Assurance Specialist with Modular, you'll be responsible for the following subjects below.These subjects have been identified because the responsibilities are directly connected to the Global Production and Quality organizational goals.



  • Support andmaintaintheISO 9001 Quality Management System


  • Execute andmaintainsISO 9001 Compliance Activities


  • Performdocument controland intranet maintenance


  • Supportand execute both internal and externalAudits


  • Supportcorrectiveand preventiveactionsoriginated internally and externally.


  • Execute root cause analysis investigations


  • SupportRisk Managementactivities


  • Upholds organizational values


  • Support Quality Improvement Projects

Required Skills

  • Education




    • Bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, qualityor computer science.A combination of education and experience will be considered in place of a degree.




  • Experience




    • Quality Management System implementation and maintenance






    • 4years minimum:




  • Utilizing various quality standards and directives


  • Experience interpreting and ensuring compliance to QMS requirements

Additional Information

  • Knowledge in reading and understanding drawings and requirement documents
  • Compliance awareness & continued education for applicable Standards, Directives
  • Effectively communicates in written and oral communication
  • Ethics, respect for others, integrity, initiative
  • Influence with and without authority
  • Ability toproblem solvewhen roadblocks appear
  • Takes initiative independently or with others
  • Ability to collect and analyze data using various platforms

Desired Skills

  • Experience in improvement projects (Six Sigma, Lean)


  • Training in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.


  • ASQ CQE Certification


  • Quality Auditor Certification CQAor Internal audit certification


  • Advanced engineering degree is a plus


  • Involvement in the following:




    • DFEMA, PFMEA






    • JuhinProcess






    • Kaizen






    • 5S






    • GEMBA
