Position Title: Hardware & Software Test Engineer
Location: Panama City Beach, FL
Clearance: Top Secret (preferred) or Secret (required)
Position Overview
ISPA Technology is looking for a Hardware & Software Test Engineer to perform hands-on testing of integrated hardware and software systems. This role is for the engineer who enjoys the moment where design meets reality: setup, execution, anomalies, retest, and evidence. You will support technical test planning and execution, work with multidisciplinary teams to isolate failures, and help ensure that delivered systems behave as intended across functional and integration scenarios.
What You Will Do
- Execute hands-on hardware and software tests, including setup, instrumentation, operation, observation, and result capture.
- Develop and refine test procedures, acceptance criteria, discrepancy documentation, and result summaries.
- Troubleshoot failures and coordinate with developers, systems engineers, and network personnel to isolate root causes.
- Support repeat testing, regression validation, and configuration-controlled test events.
- Maintain lab discipline, test records, and technical evidence that support engineering and release decisions.
- Contribute to process improvements that make test execution safer, faster, clearer, and more repeatable.

Required Qualifications
- Experience in hardware test, software test, systems integration, or verification and validation environments.
- Ability to execute detailed technical procedures and document results accurately.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and engineering curiosity.
- Comfort working hands-on with physical equipment and software under test.
- Ability to communicate clearly with multidisciplinary technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with automated testing, scripting, or lab instrumentation.
- Familiarity with networked systems, cyber-conscious environments, or controlled test labs.
- Background in mission-support or defense engineering programs.
