Primary Function of Organizational Unit
The College of Education is home to four instructional departments, the Office of Educator Preparation, the Office of Research, and the Office of Assessment, Data Management, and Digital Learning, and the Center for STEM Education. The mission of the College of Education is to prepare well-equipped professionals for the education field. The Summer Ventures Camp is an outreach program hosted by the Center for STEM Education for high school students in the region.
Job Duties
The Summer Ventures Facilitator will coordinate the Summer Ventures Discrete Math course for high school students. Duties include but are not limited to the following: course preparation, research support, student feedback, student assistance, and other tasks related to the Discrete Math course. Each course will have approximately 10 students enrolled. This is a short-term summer camp position that runs from June 20-July 25. Summer Ventures hosts approximately 50 high school juniors and seniors. Work ends when the camp concludes on July 25th. The sole purpose of this position is to facilitate the delivery of the Discrete Math course and research development along with student support over the duration of the camp. NOTE: Housing and dining accommodations are not provided for individuals selected for this position.

Masters degree in an area of Mathematics education.

Experience in instruction and/or program development/organization is desired.
